Exeter Respect Festival

The Institute of Arab and Islamic Studies @ Exeter Respect Festival

The Institute of Arab and Islamic Studies will be presenting a diverse programme of activities focusing on the Middle East from 12:00 until 19:00 on Saturday 30 June at Exeter Respect Festival at Belmont Park in the City Centre.


Event details

These include music performance, food tasting, storytelling for children and poetry readings. There will also be talks/Q&A on topics including Women in Asia, Africa and the Middle East and Muslims and Other Faiths in Britain.

There will be the opportunity to learn about the Arabic language, with taster sessions at 15:00 and 17:00. These have limited spaces, so please register in advance with your name and email address to iais@exeter.ac.uk with the title “Respect Festival”.
